The beauty of La Gomera
La Gomera is the name given to one of the seven Canary Islands , located in the Atlantic Ocean . This island , also called ” Columbine , “was home to Christopher Columbus before his trip in 1942. But not everything is history in the island , actually La Gomera has spectacular scenery to enjoy the vastness of nature .
Garajonay National Park
This park is without doubt one of the greatest natural attractions not only of the island , but of all Spain .
The park has spectacular rainforests , Canarian laurel forests , full of vines and creepers, in a truly spectacular weather.
As for wildlife , the park has a variety of species, from small spiders and worms, to hawks and doves the famous Turquoise and laurel, typical of the area.
Furthermore, the highest point of the whole island is in this park , it is the Alto de Garajonay , which reaches a height of about 1500 meters.
La Playa de Santiago
The Playa de Santiago is one of the most important of the island , with its population. In this area of the island , there is a strong farming, fishing and tourism economy.
Here you can visit the impressive Barranco de Santiago , in it there is abundant vegetation, surrounded by the particular architecture.
The coastal waters here are clear, calm, surrounded by a beautiful wildlife.
